Rowe Ami R80 amplifier distortion
« on: July 30, 2021, 12:51:31 pm »
Hi
I'm in the process of restoring a Rowe Ami R80 jukebox. The R2179a amp has distortion in the right channel. So far I have tried external speakers, swapped Phono leads over, swapped power amp boards over, distortion still staying on right channel. I've checked all caps, resistors and diodes on pre amp board. Also I've done a basic transistor test using the diode setting all seem ok. One of the  2500uf  caps on the chassis reads about 1500uf in circuit while the other reads about 2500uf. Would this cause the distortion do you think?
 Any help greatly appreciated.
 Regards Glyn
