Hello folks,

quick and simple question.  I have windows 10 connected to an old but good TV CRT television.  The GPU (video card) use the s-video OUT connected to the s-video IN tv.  All good since 5 years.  I'm very please with it.

Now, my question is...in some cases, specially for new gun game, I need more power from the PC and GPU (I have another pc with i5, gtx 960). but has you can imagine, new GPU dont have s-video out.

Last time i try to convert HDMI to s-video was not very good.

What is my option ?

Time to change to a LCD :( ?

Use that i5 with old s-video card GPU ?  (Since it is essentially the CPU that work with MAME) ?

Use a very good converter from HDMI to s-video ?

Buy a reel arcade monitor ?

Thanks for that link buttersoft.

I think I understand enough of what is going on now that I can find it even more helpful !

Yeah, it's not meant to cover everything, it's meant to get you asking the right questions and realising what sort of things you want to know :)

To circle back.  I abandon the CRT, I jump into Full HD 42".  Another world, new things appears like the ability to read game description in menu in Big Box :)
Allow newer arcade title for gun and drive wheel on my cabinet.

Overall I lost the spririt of CRT  but overall I don't regret.  No more video issue also !
