| Better than quick disconnects |

One of the nice things about quick disconnects is you can disconnect them.. these look like for people whos stuff goes underwater... if thats true... the end results might be very un - undoable... bad microswitch and you have a major problem. I don't know about others... but I really do redo my connections often... (replace buttons.... replace supers for ultimates... but thats because I took my 4 player cab apart a bit ago... and haven't redone it... so to play timepilot or gyrus I have to unscrew a joystick... total time.. 2 minutes) |

These clearly seem to be for situations where waterproofing is a requirement. If that's an issue with your cab you probably have other things to worry about, like flood insurance. ;D -S |

Personally I think nylon insulated terminals are utter garbage. I'd much rather use heat shrink and uninsulated terminals. Overkill? Maybe, but my usual wiring projects are NASCAR race cars and I can't afford to have a failure that costs someone a race. On my arcade projects, I won't go as far as I do on a race harness, but I'd rather solder the bare wires to the switch tabs than use nylon insulated terminals. |
