Hantarex polo 28 verticle collapse after tweaking remote board
Stevie187:
Hi guys,
I Recently begun work to fix this time crisis cabinet I have, I removed the time crisis chassis to check some of the boards. On replacing the chassis I couldn't get the picture to hold at all it was rolliing in both directions that I could see. After threading the remote board through to the front for the cab I managed to get a semi still picture but it wasn't right and would drift off again after a while or if you breathed on the remote board pots. Thinking I had possibly dislodged the connector on the remote board I jostled the connector on the remote board and accidently disengaged it for a second doh! After reconnection the screen is showing verticle collapse with just a bright line across the middle. Any ideas what might have happened and whether the remote board can cause this? Before I start checking the monitor chassis.
Thanks
Steve

first thing to do is plug the remote directly onto the chassis

Thanks for the help grantspain I appreciate it, sadly with the remote board plugged straight in the same vertical collapse.
grantspain:
if you are lucky then its possibly the vertical size pot broken or a bad solder joint

OK I measured the resistance on the V. Amp pot at the connector and was getting about 60 ohms to about 187 kohms, so that pot seems to be OK although the v. Shift in the centre semms to give about 1.07kohms no matter what position its in which doesn't seem right but would it give the symptoms I'm suffering?
