good luck building a star wars cabinet with a yoke compared to a prebuilt one,
(even though its LCD), or an outrun machine, or sega golden axe 3 cabinet,
or street fighter 2 big blue cabinet with wifi, or ...
i could on and on about these machines. sure, they're not the greatest quality,
but for people that dont' want build their own, they're perfectly fine.
also, they're not hard to mod for people that want to improve them, or add
their own games.
you guys keep missing the point.

Oh I want them to succeed. I 100% do. I just want them to give consumers something worthy of the money they spent, and that is my biggest beef. That will NEVER happen as long as people keep going "sure, they're not the greatest quality,
but for people that dont' want build their own, they're perfectly fine." ---That which is odiferous and causeth plants to grow---. Never accept mediocre.
EDIT: Try and convince me the projectorcade is worth buying as is.

And I'll give you a PERFECT example of what I am talking about, and it goes back to the one my son bought. AGAIN, he has Autism, had I not been there for him, like is the case with many other consumers, he would of paid over $500 for what.. 2 games? ---smurfing--- seriously man. Then they have other cabs with rehashed games that they already have on other cabs. It's a complete crock. TELL ME the consumers are getting a good value for their money. They start improving quality of the cabs, hardware and software, I'd glorify the hell out of them, but again, that won't ever happen if people don't complain and just settle for less. You settle for that, then that is all they are ever going to give you.

If you don't like the things that's fine but they are built to the specs they are on purpose of course- and it is not to please the majority of people here.
But more to the point, if you despise them so, why bother to read threads about them?
And if you choose to do so, you certainly don't have to post walls of text bile and attack people over your personal dissatisfaction with the machines.
Why not just go build something you want?
Because a globally distributed company will not be doing that.

You mean will not be doing that UNTIL ENOUGH PEOPLE DEMAND BETTER. That's how a consumer driven economy works. You demand better of the manufacturer, they get the hint and improve their products. Pretty simple.
