NEO GEO 1 slot board repair and cleaning

so got me a neo geo 1 slot and a multi-cart.
the neo geo board has a calandar error according to the seller.
i checked the onboard battery and it's dead and old and looks original.
i'm surprised it hasn't leaked.
i have a replacement coming.

in the meantime it's dirty.
how does everyone clean their arcade pcb's?

i've seen at least half a dozen ways so far on the internet but i wonder how everyone else does it.
or do you just leave them dirty?

Dump it in the sink.

Scrub it clean with a toothbrush.

Dry it with an air compressor.

Yeah it may seem scary but I ran a CRT chassis through the dishwasher and then dried in the oven at 170F.  If you don't want to take that risk what I've also done is gotten a spray bottle full of Isopropyl Alcohol and with the board leaning into a catch tray just keep spraying the dirty areas but usually it needs some extra scrubbing in some areas but just spraying that stuff can do an amazing job.

I hose boards down with lighter fluid.  It's cheap, evaporates quickly, doesn't rust, dissolves crap.

Yeah the batterys on the Neo Geo boards always need changing.

As for cleaning I tend to get the bulk off with compressed air then use Isopropanol to clean the rest.
Then for the cart slot I use one of the Arcade 1 up NES cart slot cleaners but I take it out of the case and jus push it into the slots of the board.
