I have a spare RPI 4 8gb, and it's getting this ASAP.

now i've gotta build a baby dk cab too - really amazing work. I am head over heels for your project.

You mentioned your health and single malt - hope everything is ok and you take care of yourself, tons of old nerds need you now more than ever!

Thanks!
Health is good.  Still drink single malt whisky but also ran a Marathon earlier in the month.

I put a lot of time into DKAFE recently, extending it to include console and computer ports, remakes and hacks of Donkey Kong.  Quick launching and playable with arcade controls.   I made an add-on pack available which includes over another 100 DK versions.  Windows build is out now and being tested.  If all good then I'll get this onto Pi soon.

DKAFE is built as an application and can potentially be ran independently of my image in a different environment.  I'll take a look at the link you posted re: CRTpi project and see if I can offer any help or advice.

I'll post more info about my DKAFE progress here soon.

Surprised to not see any posts from anyone installing this lately!

And I see you remained busy with this as you are now up to 0.75 ?
I've been reading your github entries and WOW is this a deep project at this point.

It is disturbing that I am only NOW finally getting around to being able to build this up.
Is 0.241 the proper dk zip version to provide for making this amazing thing happen?

Trying to sort out how best to get this to work with one of the CRTs too.
Thankfully I already have various means to try to pull that off (and also a few other Pi to CRT emulation solutions currently in hand to try out) so a poingnant topic for me at the moment!
Hopefully see how I do before the week is out.

Thanks again for your efforts here Jon!

Fantasic Bobby!  I look forward to hearing how you get on with DKAFE.

DKAFE is bundled with my build of 0.241 and to make things really easy,  you can select "Get Console Add-On Pack" from the DKAFE settings menu (after install is done).  This will pull down all of the console and computer ports and also set up the necessary arcade stuff automatically as a bonus!
If you just want arcade you can simply drop your dkong.zip onto the boot partition prior to booting.  If your rom is not compatible then my software will attempt to patch it for you automatically.

Info about 3 CRT solutions I have tested is at https://github.com/10yard/dkafe/blob/master/rpi4/rpi4_notes.md#crt-displays

Good luck buddy.  Shout if you need any help setting it up.

Wanted to say how much I love the DKAFE...Ive had it for a couple of years and watching it get better and better is a blast, as Donkey Kong is my favorite gaming character...A couple of question I have for you, in the romlist_addon I notice quite a few games I would like to add to  the playing field, if I was to change the slot number from 9999 to a available to slot number, would it then appear (Example adding NES: Donkey Kong Junior Math) and if so, does it stay in the same spot on the csv file or do I have to move it to the appropriate line.....and also kind of on the same line....I want to add Donkey Kong Country 2, do I just add the rom to the snes directory and maybe copy and paste the SNESDKC line and just change a couple of the things to match DKC2

Thanks and keep up the great work
