Looking for new ways to game.
« on: March 01, 2021, 06:48:56 am »
Hi guys,

As I have recently been lucky enough to go into early retirement, I have found myself with a lot of spare time and I also need an escape from the wife ;).

Does anyone have any suggestions on what consoles or games to purchase? As I've not owned a console since the Nintendo 64!

I am a fan of most FPS games and also enjoy a standard platformer.

If you want something really new take a look at Oculus Quest 2.  Just got one last Christmas and it’s really fun.  Can’t have the same experiences on a traditional console set up

You might want to check out the post below about the MiSTer FPGA device that does hardware emulation on most 8 bit/16 bit consoles and computers. Unless, of course, you're looking for original hardware...
