Dynamo cab needs face-lift.
« on: January 13, 2021, 02:37:38 pm »
I have a totally bare dynamo cab and im almost ready to give it a face-lift. Rather than going fully custom with the look of it, I want to mimic the design of a dedicated cabinet. I love the older stuff that was more than just the square sticker that I can recall on most dynamo cabs.

Anybody know of any styled dynamos? Or classic cabs that would fit that machine shape pretty well?

Which one do you have?  One of the more standard shape ones I imagine?
I remember seeing somewhere that there were a bunch of styles of those.
Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools! I can fix it.

Dynamo Benchmark 19" cut-corner. A standard fighter, shmup, run-n-gun style cabinet. When I got it, it was a "rough ranger" kit which was just laughable all around.

The original street fighter ii has a really colorful design, but honestly I think fighting games are a bit cramped on that cabinet.

Funny that it seems there were a lot of 2 player games put in those given the width.

I've seen Ikari, SFII, Forgotten Worlds...

Well prior to sf2 all the games had two buttons or less.  It makes for a far less cramped control panel.
