if it's easy to remove with the tools I already have (without me buying a tool for it), be specific  what part you need.

This units will in trash tonight for pickup tomorrow morning.

As you look at the front of the unit, below the dvd drive there is a long skinny plastic piece that runs along the bottom front.  The front edge is triangular.  It just clips on, and is frequently broken or missing.

Well, the used PS3 I bought a decade ago that was thrown loose in an oversized box has finally been repaired.
