Repairing a Midway Touchmaster Infinity
« on: September 13, 2020, 03:32:09 pm »
So, I've got a chance to try to repair this game.

I used to fix arcade games all the time at a theme park, but they were different, more recent makes (usually.)  The owner says that the lights turn on, but there is no sound, the screen is blank.

Also, I have 2 years of engineering school (including some circuit analysis), a ton of experience fixing claw machines, and a bit of experience fixing other machines.  Do you have any advice for approaching this problem?

So this touchmaster is basically an ancient custom protected pentium 1 PC with a crt monitor and power supply.

If you are lucky, it's as simple as a power supply replacement or cable. If not, you may need to do old pc or monitor component repair :dizzy:
