Hello Allan,
I have a Rowe AMI MM4 Jukebox (I believe 1970). I have never had any issues with it really until recently. It was fine and used frequently with no problems. A few months ago, the transfer arm would occasionally not grip the record and return it to the magazine. It is very intermittent and I would say happens about 1/3 to 1/2 of the time. The record is left on the turn table and the machine thinks it returned it properly. It then grabs the next selection and places it on top of the previous record that was left on the table. Everything else is working as it should. It selects the correct record, grips it correctly, plays it but then occasionally fails to return it back to it's original magazine slot. The grips don't appear to be worn and the plunger still extends and retracts as it should. When the record is done playing and the arm comes down to grip it and return it, the top part or the arm (closest to you, opposite side of the plunger), will miss the record and go over it. Mechanically, the jukebox works perfectly accept for this issue. In the 50 years we have owned this (my father bought it new in 1970) I have never had this problem. Is there a simple adjustment or something you suggest to rectify this problem? Any input is greatly appreciated.
