Rock ola 477 gripper arm problem
« on: June 01, 2020, 11:03:41 am »
Hi, I have a Rock Ola 477 Jukebox. The Gripper Arm is not picking up after the record has played. The problem is that once the record has finished the curved arm rises up by about 10mm before closing to grip. Therefore is misses the record and grips just above it, then goes through the motion of raplacing it but without the record.

Any clues how to solve this problem please ?

Could just be that the old grease has hardened or gotten sticky.  That mechanism needs to be moving freely to work properly.  You may just need to clean and re-lubricate the problem area.  Hard to say though for sure without seeing it in person.
