Hey guys, it's been a while, how y'all doing?

I've been busy restoring my OutRun!

Sorry no pics, the forum is telling me they are a security risk or something!

I fully wrote it up here for those interested...

You did an incredible job Jim. Can’t believe that was your first restore, you picked a tough one.  I think I would have given up as soon as I saw those gears broken on the steering column.  Glad you saw it through, it came out beautifully.

Thanks guys, really happy how it turned out.  I'll be installing the enhanced romset soon I think so my incredible high-scores will be saved ;)

Thanks mate... lots of elbow grease! ;)

It's just wordpress, but i bought a theme that my workplace also uses as it was much better than all the free themes, and I couldn't find one I liked!

I'm on Wordpress too - I'll have to look around.

That looks great.  That damn game earned a good 20 years in the arcades.  I still see one occasionally.

Awesome Job! I'm in the middle of the steering rebuild. What a pain in the --I'm attempting to get by the auto-censor and should be beaten after I re-read the rules--! I'm hoping to get mine upstairs in the game room this week cause its 100 degrees in my garage/shop..lol. I want to do the ROM update. I guess I need a writer..What did you use for the save cap?

Cheers guys.  It's a big hit, even the kids play it!

Enhanced romset now installed - wow what a brilliant upgrade!

For the supercap, I'm in the UK so got this one: https://uk.farnell.com/panasonic/eecf5r5u105/cap-1f-5-5v-double-layer-radial/dp/9692720
