Ipac2 setup xinput mode problems
« on: May 22, 2020, 12:48:32 pm »
Hi, I am settng up my first arcade and so bought an ipac 2. As i am loading in the cabinet both mame and xinput games, I want the ability to switch between keyboard and xinput mode (or even stay entirely in xinput mode if I map the mame games accordingly. On first set up, i was able to switch between xinput and keyboard mode without a problem. After playing around in winipac.exe, I felt I'd messed up the original keyboard coding, so I loaded the default file (ipac2.ipc) to start again. Since then (not sure if as a result, but around the same time), when I switch to xinput mode, it seems to switch, and if winipac.exe is open it says "xinput mode" before shutting itself down, yet in this mode the keys are still acting as if in keyboard mode. D Input mode still seems to work.  One other change I made, I added an additional ipac shift key (2A), but I did not remove the shift status of the P1 key. Any ideas why it's not working?
