| I can't seem to find: Jamma -> TV |

I can't seem to find any convertors or any info, other than the HGA to write a JAMMA PCB to a TV. I'd like to fire up a JAMMA board in my MAME cab and use my joysticks, etc... but I have a 27" TV in my cab, and an IPAC for the sticks. Wiring the buttons and sticks are fairly straightforward, but I can't seem to find any convertors/harnesses to go from Jamma to TV. Does anyone have any suggestions? An all in one kit would be killer, but I'm more than willing to do some wiring/soldering. |

I think you want one of Jroc's RGB to NTSC converters http://www.jrok.com/arcade.html I've tried contacting him before to try and buy some but never heard from him, so I don't know what they go for or how well they perform. But it should do the trick. |

If you need a term to google for... these are usually called (or fall under the pervue) of "superguns" or "jamma superguns" Collector/repair people usually create some sort of rig to plug in JAMMA boards to go to a benchtop TV/controls/etc (sorta) *shrug* rampy |

Thanks for the info.. the JROK thing looks like what I need + the Happ controls JAMMA harness for wiring the controls. As for Superguns... what's the story behind that? Why supergun? No wonder I couldn't find it, although I did run across the Supergun term a couple times, but didn't understand exactly what the difference was, and all the supergun kits included PSU, sticks, etc... Which, come to think of it, I need a PSU as well, won't I? This seems to be getting more involved than I had intended. I can't seem to find a frigging Jamma cab for sale (except new for $1295) around here to save my life. There is just absolutely NO used cabinets for sale in the Kansas City area (and I've been looking for 9 months). Ideally, a used Jamma cab with monitor would probably be my best bet. Hrrmmm |

Weird that JROK isn't answering your emails, because he was very good about providing me with all sorts of info when I bought mine. |
