It is a crime against humanity.

Yeah, I’m glad you picked that up Mike! I know you’ll do right by her!
Mike A:
The particle board is really ---smurfy--- and all of the vinyl is gone. The particle board has been painted...more than once.

I think I am going to smooth it out the best I can and then laminate the particleboard. To save the original panels I will probably have to reinforce some of them.

The plastic pieces are in pretty rough shape. I was hoping to just use that Retrobrite stuff and shine it back up again, but that doesn't seem to be a viable option.

There are gouges and other damage. I have a friend who owns an auto body shop. I dropped the panels off with him to see what he says.

We might have to strip off the metallic gray paint, fill and fix the panels and then paint them.

I dont know what your friend is telling you, but stripping paint off plastic is a bad idea, Unless it is some cheap spray paint or something, even then a few wipes with reducer is the answer...That should be in a perfect world (and a blank check) be lightly sanded on damage areas, filled with glaze putty, sealed with a tinted sealer (to match topcoat) Scrubbed with a ultra fine grey scratch pad...And painted with a plastic/vinyl paint.
