Cabinet Ergonomy
« on: February 12, 2020, 03:26:34 am »
I've started to project my first cabinet, using as reference different cabinets plan. I'm working towards an hybrid vewlix cabinet based on a 27" lcd monitor.
In my last project iteration , control panels heights near 80cm ( 31" 1/2 inches more or less) , granting 72 cm - 28" 1/3 of clearance for my legs ( this is similar to my desktop, with 69 cm - 27" clearance).
I'm a bit concerned about control panel height: is it too much?
I can solve it probably with a stool, but i'd love to hear your opinions.
Here's some images of the project as attachment

To be honest, it’s kind of odd seeing a Viewlix stretched out like that. I’ve never thought of them as anything other than sit-down cabs.

Yeah, I've reworked on a new shorter iteration because probably this tends to be neither good for standing nor for sitting. Still working on it though, I'll post it later on.
