GroovyMame don't start
« on: February 14, 2020, 02:41:03 am »
Hello

For a few days I am trying to install on a machine groovymame, I followed the instructions of this tutorial http://geedorah.com/eiusdemmodi/forum/viewtopic.php?id=290, I have tried several versions (0.209 - 0.218) every time just show this message (SwitchRes: could not find a video mode that meets your specs) and a black screen.

OS: Windows 7 64
Video card: HD 6450 + ATOM-15
Driver: CRT Emudriver  16.2.1
Monitor: kortek ktm-f 25

Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

Thanks for the help!!

Hello,

Looks line that there is an issue with Portaudio initialization.

You can try with « -sound dsound » or « -sound none » command line option.

Thanks that worked mame starts!!

Hello,

Looks line that there is an issue with Portaudio initialization.

You can try with « -sound dsound » or « -sound none » command line option.

It seems that Windos does not recognize the integrated sound card, according to a quick search is a common problem with the motherboard I use (intel d946gzis)

Now I have to find out how to solve that problem, I hope it's just a driver
