Link play on San Francisco Rush & all vegas/seattle games

Zeosstud:
Finally got my dual racing setup going and I am happy to report that Rush 2049 SE is running linked with the instructions from this thread perfectly. I have all kinds of things that still need to be done, cable management at the top of the list, but things are working, which is always a great start. Using Mame .272

Could not locate an exact match for my Thrustmaster wheel so went to plan b and will be offering people a choice, Logitech G923 or Thrustmaster on a TMX wheel base.

Need to get BigBox going on both machines totally controlled with the wheel, I have done that before so no big deal there, just need more time.

Fursphere:
I couldn't handle having the wheels on my twin cabinet be mismatched.   Drove me nuts.  So I spent way too much money making them match.    :banghead:

I am still on the fence about how to launch games on the twin.  Each cabinet controlled seperately?  Or having cabinet 1 automatically start the game on cabinet 2 when linked games are launched.   (usually file share and autohotkey madness to remotely execute code)

Honestly I am there with you, I did not realize my Thrustmaster wheel was so old.. :-(  I guess technically its not the base, you can still get that easily, but finding the wheel itself, at least new, like on amazon, I just did not have any luck, so I executed plan B.. Who knows, I very well may be just like you and turn around and get a 2nd Logitech G923 or maybe I find a great deal on a thrustmaster wheel on marketplace or ebay.. Heck, I might even find out that having 2 different setups is something others enjoy, I am at the very beginning of this adventure.

My current plan for launching games will be new installs of Bigbox, solely dedicated to racing games and carefully setup using the same controls to navigate so you can easily talk the person you are racing thru what to do, will be happy to share how that works out.

Fursphere:
I went with Fanatec DD setups with WRC wheels, shifters, and handbrakes.

For launching, Launchbox supports RetroArch netplay, but most racing games don't use retroarch.  So that didn't really help.

You can check out this thread for some ideas:  https://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=164636.0

Zeosstud:
Your setup sounds pretty amazing and thanks for the link.. At this point I have like 13 games setup in matching BigBox installs and whomever is racing just have to talk to each other.. :-)
