Are there any plans for the Arcade1ups?
« on: December 18, 2019, 03:55:10 pm »
Has anyone made any plans available for the Arcade 1ups? I like the cabinets but want to use higher quality components.

Buy one for cheap and use the parts as router templates.

Arcadegraphix.com has template downloads for the artwork they print for them - those should provide the info needed.

Yeah, that's the suggestion I was going to make.

I'm doing a Arcade1up to Gorf conversion now and I remember disliking 1/2" material. Nothings changed, I still don't like 1/2" MDF. I understand why they used it, and I think the cabinet looks fine but putting screws into it is a pain.

YEah - At least A1U is using the metal inserts ( cross dowels ) in the side panels etc. to provide that extra stability and durability for those connections. http://www.theinsertcompany.com/cross_dowels.php
