Compiling groovymame for Final Fight Anniversary Edition
« on: December 04, 2019, 12:12:33 pm »
I'm wondering if one of the groovymame gurus here could compile this custom version of mame as groovymame? https://github.com/originalgrego/mame

It's a modified mame 0.216 source that runs Final Fight Anniversary Edition (a 3 player hack).
You can read about the hack here: https://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=28073.0

I've run the patched Final Fight rom in the pre-compiled version grego supplies, and it's absolutely great...  but obviously the only way to really play it is through Groovymame  8)

Is is something that's possible?

You need the source, apply the groovy patch and compile.

Follow the unix compile mame section of arcademvs wiki (link in sig). Just use the repo you linked as source. If your using windows, I cant help you. Thats outside my comfort zone.

Cool!  Does it suffer from slowdowns or any other problems?

Anyone who has compiled it mind to share a link to download it?

I am more interested in a rom hack with Jessica's proper intro, as my cabinet is 2P only :)
Has anyone managed to get this rom? (or maybe the japanese one with english text, just asking) :)

Thank you!
