Adding A Spinner
« on: October 21, 2019, 02:28:41 pm »
I'm going to be modding an Arcade1up machine, Street Fighter in particular. I would like to add a spinner, but not sure how to go about it. I'll be following the ETA Prime modding video on youtube. I know that you run the controls into a usb encoder, one encoder for each player. My question is this....where do I plug in the spinner ? The player 1 encoder, or do I have to use an encoder just for the spinner ?

Why would you put a spinner on a SF2 cab?

There are not enough details in your build proposal. Is this a Raspberry Pi build? What are you using for your encoders and computer?

If you go to a place called YouTube type in Arcade 1up modifications, you will find people that have modified these cabinets and even showing you how

Youtube is a bit like a search engine, but for videos instead.

A wonderful place for information.

you will need a different style encoder for a spinner. also you will have to use MAME 2010 (I think it is that one) if your going with a Raspberry PI
If your going with a PC there are plenty of options .
search the topic's for build a spinner

Why would you put a spinner on a SF2 cab?

To throw directional fireballs. Duh.
