Joust Defender joysticks best choice for CP-Still around?
« on: August 20, 2019, 03:03:22 pm »
As I mentioned elsewhere, I like "original" control panels when possible.

I'm going to start a few and currently, I'm looking for a replacement or alternative for the Williams 2 ways.

I'm not sure who they even were made by, shorter, I think? I didn't see any google results for repos. I can get actual used ones when they pop up on ebay, but as far as new??

Thanks!

I was lucky enough to get a NOS Defender stick on my machine.

After using it for a while, I'd be ok with a Happ Super, with the base cut to allow a close reverse button, and replace the bat handle on the super with a ball top. Also, cut a slot so it only goes up and down. Keep in mind that I haven't busted 100k yet, so it's possible if you are a hard core Defender player, there may be some nuances to a real stick vs the setup I just mentioned.

LOL Compared to me you're the king of kong. It's one of my favorite games, and I suck-majorly.

I remember it being kind of a nub of a joystick. Maybe someone else came chime in-same as??

I did google 1 from the EU for about $75 shipped from EU for about $75 shipped but its oos I think.

It was made by Wico.  Dimensions attached.

This is my replacement:

On forums jimmer speaks for himself as a Defender fan, not as proprietor of www.jbgaming.co.uk  << Is that advertising or disclosure ? or both ?

Roller bearings. FANCY. I like it. Maybe it will catch on..... Maybe you should re-design all sticks, and show 'em what's what!
