Help revamping an old build
« on: September 01, 2023, 12:00:52 am »
I built an mame cabinet I love about 12 years ago.  Time goes on and I really want to upgrade the pc and revamp the old frontend.  My question is this, I used an old 30" crt (that still works great) and had an old video card I used.

What works with new pc's to convert to a crt?  What is the new "standard"?

Thanks in advance my arcade people!

Well, there are lots of different ways to skin a cat, but for my money crt_emudriver the best bet. I wrote out a very long guide to as to why some time back. Keep in mind that it's slightly dated now and Retroarch is probably... better than i make it sound?

I presume your old setup was using S-video, or perhaps composite, directly from the TV-out port of the old GPU?
