So I'm at a total loss here...
I have an old cabinet from 10+ years ago that worked with an old version of MAME32. In an effort to make it usable by the young kids in the family, I've rebuilt a PC with fresh games and upgraded UI (Bigbox+Retroarch). That's ready to go.
Now comes time to map the controllers and I have zero idea where to start. Can someone point me in the right direction so I can get educated? I'm not highly skilled
- The controllers all worked before. Is there a tool to make sure all the buttons still work?
- Is there a map diagram that shows how 6 button setups are usually mapped (arcade, NES, SNES)? I can't find a way to connect the Retroarch menu options with the buttons.
- When I hooked up the computer and tried to map it in Retroarch, it's not seeing button presses at all. Is there some software needed? (Win 10 now vs Vista 10 years ago)
Any point in the right direction is appreciated.
Any tips you can give would be really helpful. I'm attaching photos of the boards. Googling didn't turn up much.
