Your face when you realize both of them are dead.

That’s one of my favorite SNL sketches of all time. Farley was so great in that, as was Swayze.

Party is Saturday August 3rd.

The weather should be good for swimming. mid 80's and sunny.

There will be a bonfire.

There will be beer and booze.

There will be video games.

There will be food.

I am not sure if I will cook up a big pot of chili or if I will make meatball sandwiches.

Is there cinnamon in your chili?  If so, I'm out.

Cinnamon. nope.

2 lbs chuck roast cut up into strips browned with the onions in the pan
2 lbs bacon with the grease dumped in
2 lbs hamburger
5 onions
habaneros variable amount
chipotle peppers to taste
garlic cloves a bunch
cumin
chili powder
pepper
a couple bottles of beer maybe 3

That is off the top of my head. I am probably missing something.

I am open to suggestions pbj. My recipe is still evolving. People really seem to like it, but some people cry that it is too hot.

Sometimes I throw crushed tomatoes in there. Some people prefer it that way.

I will also bake a couple of loaves of no knead bread or some cornbread.

I was just kinda born knowing how to make chili, your recipe looks solid.

3lbs chili meat, 2 chopped onions, 4 garlic cloves, one chopped chipotle chili in adobo, cumin, chili powder.  Chopped cilantro at the end.

I figured you would have good insight into chili. People around here have all kinds of stupid chili ideas.

My buddy turned me on to the chipotle chile in adobo sauce. That's good stuff.

I haven't tried cilantro. I will chuck that in the pot and see how it goes. I love cilantro on tacos.

I picked up a new toy last night. I will post some more pics tonight. I pulled it out of a guy's basement. You can't imagine the negotiating power you have when an arcade machine is halfway up a flight of stairs. The Street Fighter board in there works great. This will be a good home for my SF 2 CE board. I can get a multi JAMMA adapter and run both boards in here. I just need to get a manual for this PCB. The kick harness is not the same for both boards. Come out to my party. Kick ---my bottom--- with the original Street Fighter.

I was 50 / 50 on this when I got there and "4 stairs" became a steep and narrow flight. This cab neatly filled a bunch of needs I have for Alpha Centuri.

It cost me 50 bucks. He had two guys help me. The mysterious seller wasn't there. I just talked to him on the phone.

I am happy with it. I have a solid, if ugly, cab with a standard Street Fighter layout. It has a solid CRT and everything works.

Now I don't have to build a cab for my SF2 PCB.

Also, now I can rotate my candy cab monitor to vertical for some sweet vertical SHMUP action.

Yeah. That route can be a ---smurfette---. One of these days you need to make it out here. Have a good time racing. I had a Kyosho Assault nitro buggy when I was a kid. Every once in awhile I get the itch again.

A hot blonde coming out of the closet? Very timely request given Julianne Hough's news.

Sorry guys. Next party I promise I will post a ton of pics. We had a smaller than normal turnout. There were fifteen people. On the plus side I was able to spend more time playing games.
Here is my brother playing Asteroids with my son.

My friend's kid didn't want to leave.

Another friend playing Wild West Cowboys of Moo Mesa with his daughter.

I baked a couple loaves of bread.

My daughter and my son helped me with chili prep the day before.

The debut of my soap dispenser made using a liquor bottle.

Missed those party pics earlier.  15 is a good turnout.  I peaked at ~25 and it was absolute chaos in my house.  Once you get to a dozen, it’s enough people that they can interact with each other and leave you alone.  At 2 dozen, ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- is constantly breaking and people are pulling food out of your deep freeze behind your back.

Yeah. When it hits 30 that means we are outside my inner circle of friends. I lock the bedroom doors. I have never had a problem, but it doesn't hurt to be careful. Fifteen or so means they are my good friends. I tend to drink more and I can relax more. My daughter's friends crash in the theater room. I don't have to be the ogre, she set the rule that if you want to party you have to stay. And her friends are all 21 or older.

I wish I had the money to throw a party every weekend. We are living the dream at the Aberle house.

We were doing almost weekly parties and they were costing us  ~$1,000/mo. So we cut them off and magically nobody else stepped up to bat.

Not that I'm bitter.

All the food and games, makes me want to plan a pilgrimage to the midwest! Pickled veggies with jalapeño is legit. How'd the chili turn out?
