How's it going, there is a killer instinct 2 arcade cab local to me for sale. Overall it looks to be in great shape. Seller wants $1100 for it and I want to make sure I'm paying a fair price for it and making a good decision on purchasing it . Seller told me it needs degaussing ring adjusted, minor screen issue in top right corner as shown in pics. He told its hardly visible and has adjusted already it and it comes back. Other than that he stated controls, sound and cab are in great shape and original. What are your thoughts on it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for the help for a first time arcade machine buyer. Please move if posted in wrong area. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |

It seems to be in decent condition, And I wouldn't be scared of it at that price...However... Odds of that degauss coil needing adjustment are about zero, and either the seller is fibbing you or has little experience with repair (Gotta ask yourself why didn't he fix it then if he is so knowledgeable?, And why didn't he try selling that at Zapcon since it was right there?), My guess the monitor is tired, and he knows it ,may last awhile or possibly not. But do not mention any of this to him if you want it, Just let him give his sales pitch and then If you want it a little cheaper, with the power off look at the screen and if you can see the game image (screen burn) Point at that and say dude WTF, How can I fix that? (you cant but normally its not really a big deal, less is better)... And offer him $850... Good luck man, first game is always very exciting! But get right on it fast, cause games don't usually just sit around, someone will most certainty snatch it up at that listed price. |

Did you see it at Zapcon or that he could have sold it there and didnt. Anything else I should look for. Maybe leave it on to see if the monitor acts up after being on for awhile. Jenn is beginning to smell a rat, Do not sent this guy any money, At best bring cash in person and leave with it...To answer your question No, leaving it on for awhile isn't going to do anything, The way it is I would be suprized if it didn't puke within 6 months....However, It may not be hard to fix...I assume you live around Phoenix beings how you looking at that ad...Let's see if we can get Yots over here, Hold on. |

Yeah, I’d offer $850. How long has that been available? I’d make up my mind ASAP, I know a few guys who own/are opening barcades in the Valley, and if you don’t pull the trigger, they will. Just a friendly heads up. If you do get it, we have a close knit group here in Phoenix that does arcade repair events monthly once the weather cools down. That monitor is probably in need of a cap kit, which we can help you with. |
