vertical screen 4:3 games, extra screen space?

hi guys,

i have an idea for a cabinet with a 16:9 screen rotated vertically.  is there an easy way to get 4:3 content to display at the bottom edge?  i’m thinking the top could be used to show marquees.

just not sure how tricky this set up would be?

For mame you could use the lay files - would just need to figure out the specifics.

Precisely!  Just wondering how other emus would behave.
