CNC, seems to have it's following, And cant build a spot on, without concessions, Ultimately with varieties of results...However, The workmanship on a pre war juke, is what sold me on conventional tooling, It could be duplicated I supose, But that doesn't change the skill level of, a zero tolerance acceptance...It is truly a thing of beauty in the right hands.

I was pretty busy this weekend but I did get a few things done.

Here are a couple of random CNC pics because no matter what I say, You guys want a CNC machine for cutting arcade cabs.

Even cutting at over 100 ipm this takes way longer than using my table saw and router. I would never use the CNC for this kind of job again unless I had a

rack and pinion machine that could cut at least 3 times faster than mine.

I left the dust shoe off so you could see everything better. With the dust shoe in place there is 99 percent less sawdust laying around.

I pinned a bunch of Molex connectors.

Here are some of them.

One advantage to being single. Wiring a CP on my kitchen counter. Leaving it there overnight to work on again in the morning.

I built a shelf in my arcade room this weekend.

My Subwoofer and PA speaker take up the space of one arcade cab. They also melt your face if you are standing in front of them.

The solution was to move them out of the way. I still need to wrap the studs in cedar.

Today I am going to finally remove the old plumbing for my Aquarium. That is the white PVC you see in the pic.

I can barely lift the 4'x8' sheets of birch plywood into the cart at Home Depot much less push it through my table saw.  It's hard enough to swing it up onto the router table.  I still prefer using the router table for large pieces like you show in that photo.  If I had a friend to help hold the material I could do it on the table saw.

Do you have a huge table saw?  I guess if you got one that holds an entire 4'x8' sheet it would be awesome.  I've got one of those portable table saws that is only like 25" x 20" roughly.  I have to use one of those roller stands to try to catch the boards.

I use roller stands, and my chop saw bench is the same height as my table saw bench. I can roll it in place to use as an out feed table.

Awesome set up Mike.  But please consider a duct for the 120mm(?) fan that comes out of the top of your box.  It may extend the life of the electronics.  See below bro.

I cut full sheets of ply on my barn floor.

I have a 4x8 sheet of insulation 1 inch thick that i lay down on the floor.

The plywood goes on top of that.

I set my circular saw to cut just through the plywood.

Easy and fast.

I operate my machine with the dust boot in place all of the time. There is normally no dust. I leave it off when I take glamor shots.

And that fan is like 40mm. :P

Still jealous of that CNC.  And I gots to see it in person, it’s glorious.

Good call on those speakers, that was killing your floor space.  You’ve done some serious rearranging of those machines,  nice work!

Oh sweet, your CNC is up and running again. Nice.  I remember you saying you were having issues with it a little while back, but didn't know if you got it worked out.

Yeah. After 15 years it is starting to give me problems here and there.

The motor driver software isn't supported anymore.

I need to switch it over to Mach3 at some point.

Play testing with kids and adults went pretty well at my party. The first kids to arrive lunged at the cab and threw quarters in. They didn't have to receive any instructions and they were playing right away. They were all elementary school aged.

Player 3 button 2 stopped working halfway through the night. I will have to check out my wiring when I get a little free time.

Other than that everything worked great. My long time buddy was the last to leave the party and we played Trog for an hour or so.

The dream!  This is exactly how it should be - everything self-explanatory, even for kids.

Yeah. The first hour of my party I am stretching dough and cooking pizzas. It helps a lot that my games don't require a training course to get started.

Using the longer and cooler fermentation process on your dough really made it delicious I bet.  Good job on that and on the build.   :applaud:

You can get cheap versions of these on ebay. I use them on my racing cabs where real estate is limited but i need coin/escape buttons.

4 player games don't usually have more than 4 buttons. But i would strongly recommend giving p1 and p2 6 buttons.

There are some VERY GOOD 1p/2p 6 button games and it is nice to have that option.

Okay. The p3 b2 problem is not a wiring issue. That button works fine in Wild West Cowboys of Moo Mesa. So I guess it is time to pull my Simpsons PCB and figure out the problem.

Hopefully you can find a schematic. Might just be a diode. My Millipede board had the test switch stuck on, and it just happened to be the diode in circuit. Swapped it out and all was golden.
