This site is a pain to use, I like the other one better.

2009 wont work with the Intel. Only the very last 2009.5 version works with the intel. There is at least 3 2009 versions that do not work with intel. I don't remember the version # that works.

And a A7N8X for replacement will work?

lilshawn:
No. that board is an NFORCE2 board. the original (K8N-VM) is a geforce 6100 series. It wont even fit in the case. that one is ATX sized (12 x 9.6), the original is micro-ATX (9.6 x 7.6 inches)

literally... becasue of the drivers in the software being limited to the hardware they ran.... the only boards that are going to work in that aurora are the K8N-VM which is the original board... and depending on what vesion software you are running, (2009.5 or higher) you can swap for the Intel D945GCL and Intel D945GCLF2 boards and either will work. (2009.5 is the year they added driver support for the intel boards)

sorry, but no other boards are going to work.

Just a heads up. There is a few revisions of vga cable for Aurora's. Obviously the WS Aurora was meant to use the intel mobo, but i have had a few standard aurora's where the vga cable did not like the intel mobo. I ended up having to put another Asus mobo in those Aurora's. If you do get a intel mobo, pray you dont have one of these incompatible vga cables.

No luck... I found this motherboard:

Same chipset and cheap, what you do think?
