First of all I want to thanks all woo helped to solve this problem because it was give me some expectation that I can solve mine problem too.
Secondly Iīm sorry to hijack this thread but I think is better to create a new.
I have a similar / equal problem in my Polo 28 Star and if possible I need some direction to apply the solution of this chassi to mine.
Basically I cleaned and make a recap to the chassi. After I verified that I still have a problem with the pincushion. I cannot fully adjust it and in the end I have always a distorted image.
Before I find this topic I managed to test and check some of the steps that was pointed here, and no problem was found. So in the end the distorted image with incorrect pincushion adjust maintain.
The solution here was the T115 - BX53C but I cant find the "relative one" for my chassi. Can someone help me where to look to find a transistor that make the same thing in my chassi? In what part of the circuit I have to look?
I give a look to the schematics posted here but I cant "correlate" to my schematics.
Apart that I have some strange problem too in the process like perjmolsen hehe.
First the red color disappeared and the solution was exchanging the transistor of red colour in the neckboard. For that I swaped it with one of another working chassi (working with all colours but with same geometry problem and no recap done).
After swapping the transistor the chassi stop working and some "cracking" noises came from the chassi (somewhere behind the flyback).
The other chassi stop working too and have a vertical collapse (horizontal white line in the center).
Yesterday I took the chassi out of the cabinet and make the connection outside so I can see where the noises come from. It was from D52 a Diode fixed to the heatsink, i even see a flash when powering the arcade. I removed the diode, tested it and he was clearly good. The diode have the protection (I donīt know the name in English) between him and the heatsink and after thorough inspection I cant fin any problem. It have plenty thermal paste too so I donīt see any problem. In the end I put a new protection and new thermal paste, solder it again in place and fired up the arcade.... it was working again. Probably, but I donīt know how, the protection between the diode and the heatsink moved and allowed some sort of short. Strange things lol.
Thanks for any help you can give.
