If you are celebrating a birthday the hat (and first drink) is free as required by law and custom. Birthday cards are considered legal proof so pack one for the trip. Otherwise we’ll have to drive to the nearest Thrift Store where they all end up eventually.

On a related note, you’ve got me wondering if I should rent a frozen margarita machine to go with the red beer cooler. If we can get Mike A to switch from rum to tequila for a weekend we might make this work.

I’m on the company teat, so the ride from airport to downtown is covered. Apparently I’m staying at some haunted hotel. I’ll be at a conference with the federal government discussing minutia. Can’t wait.
