Separate cab for only widesceen games or play on 4:3?

For those of us that don't have room/ money for hundreds/ dozens of cabinets, maybe only 1-3 cabs, how do you deal with widescreen games?

I don't have my own place at the moment (so no cabs), but I'm just curious for down the road. Say I want to play MK11, Pac-Man Battle Royale and other widescreen games on a cabinet. Do you guys display these in 16x9 or 4x3? Are the games designed to look good in either, or only 16x9? I'm curious about every arcade/ arcade-style game. Does anyone have any examples supporting either of these scenarios?
