Upgrading to HD 7990 and atom compatibility
« on: May 24, 2019, 02:31:41 am »
Hi. I'm looking to upgrade my GPU to HD 7990 and i found a great deal for it.
I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with this card and atom compatibility.
Besides that, it has two graphic processors inside, would that somehow may cause issues with Groovymame or crtemudriver in general?
Would love to get an answer. Thanks.

Compatibility with ATOM greatly depends on the BIOS the vendor uses, so the same GPU model may be supported or not depending on the brand. It's a matter of how much free space we have to hold the patch. It's a matter of luck. With regards to the 2 graphic processors, I've no experience with that, I guess it shouldn't matter as long as you can point to the right output to install the modes.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.
