When I was 8 years old, my neighbor threw away a box with a 7800 in it and a stack of games. Perhaps my first experience of the joys of dumpster diving. That thing was fun as hell for $0. I guess he went off to college and mom threw it out. Same thing happened to my Genesis/32X/SegaCD 10 years later. :timebomb: I recall playing a lot of Uridium on it. |

The Goodwills in my area are now too cut-throat to allow a single deal these days. Glad you had a nice hit there. Last deal I had at goodwill was a vintage zaxxon tabletop for $5 because it was mis-categorized as a baby's toy. |

My good will has gone upscale. but electronics stuff is still cheapish for non-apparel items. bought a working oscilloscope for $15. there last yr. it was older but a scopes a scope. |

There's this smaller goodwill I go to that's kinda janky and still occasionally has deals but you have to be there to buy it as they are donating it because there are vultures that hover around all day trying to get something to resell to the pawn shop next door to fuel their drug habit. |
