I am not a pizza snob. I enjoy wood fired stove pizza and party pizzas. Just depends. I just didn’t realize Pizza Hut was part of many people’s arcade experience.

I hear a lot of people connect Pizza Hut to cocktail cabs. I first played Mr. Do at a PH near Disneyland.

The Pizza Hut by me had a Wizard of Wor cocktail at one time when I was little. It also had a Frogger for awhile. When my kids were little that same Pizza Hut had a Daytona USA and a Neo Geo 4 slot. We still go to that Pizza Hut and right now it has a police trainer.

Pizza Hut has been assembly line pizza since at least the 80s. They all were. Slightly different flavor, same junk.

I remember the cabs and cocktails mostly being in an entry-area and not somewhere were people brought food while playing.

The 'lobby', or a corner off the main dining room.

the Pizza hut by me has been there since the 80's.
In the 80's it made my stomach feel icky from all the grease.

I went there and a few yrs back and it still made me sick to my stomach from all the grease.

would rather eat little Caesars.

In New York, it's SU-PPOSED to be greasy, hah.

It used to depend on the type of crust. Deep dish had a few good squirts of vegetable oil in the pan to keep it from sticking. Lotsa pressure and elbow grease cleaning those. Thin and hand-tossed pans got a light spray from the can.

Not sure what creeps me out more, that someone recreated a restaurant in their basement or that they chose Pizza Hut!

This reminds me a couple of people I've known that have recreated a 50's diner in their basement.  One of them in particular is pretty darn cool to hang out in.

A teacher at the school I used to work at did the same thing. People loved it.

Must have been a thing for people that grew up in the 60's and 70's.   Not unlike having an arcade in your basement if you grew up in the 80's.

I thought the 50s was the peak of Diner Time. In some states, there apparently are many.
