2 little problems: overscan and sound issues
« on: April 17, 2019, 11:10:01 am »
Hi all. I have a PC with GroovyMAME and CRT Emudriver working very well. The problem is there are portions of the game outside the screen and I don't know how to adjust it. I read in this forum something about adjusting it from the CRT but i can't do it, and changing it from Arcade OSD but I don't know how, I can change resolution from 4:3 to 16:9 but it's not a good idea because I want to play games with the original aspect ratio.

The other problem is the audio in some games, for example with The King of Dragons or The King of Fighters 98' The Slugfest. The sound sounds strange, always in the same part of the music, it seems like the sound decreases the frequency.

I tested both situations with other CRT and it happends the same.

I use Windows 10, groovyMAME 0.207, CRT Emudriver 2.0, AMD R7 240. (I have a NVidia GTX 760 in the same motherboard, but I'm using the output of AMD R7). I connect PC to CRT using VGA output to SCART with a special cable

As with every other issue that gets asked here:
Please include a log file for one of those games, and your mame.ini

Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead or pasting it.

I bring good news: I fixed sound issues. The problem occurs when I extend the screen and the second screen recieve the signal, if I set my CRT as first screen the sound is good.

The screen issues I tried to fix it tweaking the service menu, but I can't make straight the lines, I think there are some capacitors in bad conditions.
