WTB: Candy Cab (Savannah GA)
« on: March 13, 2019, 09:51:35 am »
I am in Midway, GA (30 mins south of Savannah and about an hour and a half north of Jax) and I am looking to buy a reasonably priced Sega Blast City candy cab. I would rather it be in driving range within Georgia, North Florida, or South Carolina. Something can be worked out for shipping if your price is reasonable enough.

The only real requirements are that it's complete (or close) and does not require any monitor work. The proper Nanao 27"(29") trisync would be cool but I can work with what ever may be installed.

Thank you

*EDIT* I will now consider any Japanese candy cab. No Korean or clones. This includes but not limited Sega Blast City, Taito Egret II, Irem Madonna, Capcom Q GrandAm 25, SNK Neo 29, Konami Windy II or something like that.

Yeah I checked in with KC in California, Yaton in China, Cereth in Nevada and spoke with a couple people on this coast.

I posted on the forums seeing if I could find a (semi) local seller as I have a hard time forcing myself to pay as much for shipping as the cab costs.

Average sale price of the cabs I am interested in can be had for $700-$900 .. however shipping from CA to GA for a single cab is $550  .. KC (in Los Angeles, CA)  quoted me $700 shipping for two cabs.

If you don't have $1,400 for one of these cabinets, you don't have $900.  Bust out your wallet.

Not true .. I already have a couple and I didn't pay anywhere near $1400. I didn't say I couldn't afford it .. but the frugalness in me is kicking in :(

When was the last time you bought them though? Candy cabs have gone up in price considerably in the last couple years.

Well, I suppose the old "WTB cheap candy cab" threads are a nice break from the usual conversation around here.

Maybe someone will start looking for "used arcadevga" again....

Last two months

I also posted above where to get them for those prices  .. especially on the pacific coast.  They only cost more this way due to shipping unless you get in on a container buy with someone.
