Mike A:
Here is the artwork my friend had that guy print . He didn't want to bother me because I was helping someone else build a deck at the time. This dude will happily slap someone else's artwork on your cab without their permission.

True story.   ;D

Damn that sucks to hear. I was looking into buying a kit from him, but after seeing so many mixed reviews I really don't think I will anymore.
Plus I live in New Zealand so if anything went wrong or if incorrect parts were sent, I'd be right up :censored: creak :laugh2: trying to get a refund/replacement.

Could you post some pictures of the cabinet?

Just to note:
The whole 60% darker print thing, as a Graphic Designer I deal with a lot of artwork prints for giant posters around town in NZ.
So, in my workspace, it's not unheard of for that to happen when printing artwork. BUT (and this is a huge but) it's just a matter of going back to Photoshop, brightening it up a bit and printing again. I've had to do that many times to ensure it would display correctly. I'm not saying he should have to reprint the entire artwork, just a small crop would suffice.

That is something I would have thought he would do, test a print and confirm with you the customer if it's how you wanted it to appear.
But then again, that's another problem I see with him, communication seems to either be very responsive or not at all.

Safe to say I'm glad I found out about Haruman among my research for a cab.
I think I'll be reaching out to Haruman Customs for my build ;D he does some rad work from what I've seen.

What will you do, Have you found another vendor to purchase a cab from? :)

I went with recroommasters 32 Xtension kit, Xarcade’s dual coin entry and I had my custom marquee and control panel printed by Lucian who did an excellent job for many people on here and the HS forums. He has a well established reputation. Plus he lives 20 minutes away from me so I saved on shipping.

I get it about the artwork, but I uploaded my stuff to Lucian without changing a thing on my .psd files and they printed with correct black levels. So, I don’t know what happened. Regardless even if the artwork was printed correctly, because it was not left to dry for enough times when peeling back the protective film the ink was coming up with the protective seal.

Honestly if you absolutely wanted the GRS 32 inch kit, go to Micro Center. Apparently someone bought his kit who worked at MC and recreated it to sell in the store which is also sold for cheaper that what GRS charges anyway. Give them the business instead of this guy. Karma is a funny thing.

MC gave me all my money back with no questions at all since I provided a crap load of info and returned everything.

At least you did have words with the guy.  I never heard from him after putting in my order.  His website leads you to believe that he'll contact you before shipping to make sure everything is good, but that's not the case at all.  He shipped me a kit with missing parts, incorrect buttons, and never responded to any of my support requests other than to say they'd be willing to swap out the buttons if I sent the originals back.  When I asked where to send, what parts they needed, etc.. I never heard back from them.  Complete joke of a company.  He either has too much pride to ever admit fault and just make something right, or he's a complete idiot.  It's too bad because this had potential to be something pretty cool, but he does terrible business and takes customers for granted.  Won't be around much longer I'm quite sure..

Yep, sorry that happened to you. You should of read up reviews here before doing business with him. Yes he was extremely prideful and arrogant when trying to deal with my order when I received it. Was a complete mess and I could not wait to get the thing back to Fedex and out of my sight. Even the guy who prints my artwork was in talks with GRS over him being the primary artwork supplier for their cabinets when GRS first started and he said the owner is a complete as*hole.

I ended up doing business with Recroommasters instead and it was a great experience. Their stuff is built like a rock.
