Wells 25k7193 excessive bloom
« on: February 14, 2019, 07:36:49 pm »
I check my B+ and it ranges from 100 to 130dc depending on whats shown. On a screen that I know is has more bloom in and out voltage is constant at 130. Did a new flyback about 4 years back and all new caps and new vreg. The issue has just recently shown up.

I powered up the cab without a lot of the daughter board pots connected a few times because someone vandalized my cab and had to resolder the ripped out wires. Not sure if that could have caused an issue.

Where should I start looking? Tried to reflow the whole chassis but didn't help, could still be a broken trace somewhere though I suppose as I didn't check for that. Could it be something in the horizontal ouput circuit that's out of whack?

Not sure if this is excessive but I don't remember it doing it this much in the past. I know all k7000 have bloom affecting them but this seems a bit much.

b+ level is odd, I have seen that happen on many different chassis but normally with that amount of change you would either get no picture or see massive changes on screen, picture size and intensity fluctuate massively. Many times its down to regulator circuit or mains smoothing cap
If you disconnect video signal does the b+ remain stable?
