Bob Roberts was recommended to me here, and I received the bolts yesterday, 1 week (or perhaps slightly less) after ordering them from him - what a great service, highly recommended :)

I've had exactly the same problem. None of the large DIY shops seem to sell carriage bolts smaller than M6.

Can you tell me how you paid for Bob Roberts' items? I haven't used him to date because I understood that he only accepted money orders and an international money order costs at least

the happcontrols carriage bolts have a lower and leaner profile as compared with the carriage bolts you will find at a local hardware store. the heads of hardware store carriage bolts are bulbous and might get in the way when used to mount a trackball or maybe a joystick.
