Not sure what level of chuffy this is but I found this old lunchbox in a house my company is planning on demolishing. Its a nice piece added to my collection of Star Wars memorabilia that I'll never get to showcase. |

I've also been working in my arcade. Fixed the yoke on my upright Star Wars cabinet. It was twitchy moving vertically. I had a spare yoke I've had for years (before I ever got the actual Star Wars cabinet). I hooked it up to test and it was twitchy horizontally. I removed the good vertical pot from it, and swapped it for the twitchy vertical pot in the original yoke, and voila - smooth as butter! Previously you couldn't get past wave one or two due to flaky control, now I got through wave three until I got my butt kicked. Then I removed the old sticker from the yoke, cleaned the crap out of the cover with goo-gone and a razor blade until it was smooth as a baby's bottom, and put on new repro artwork I'd had for years as well. Gorgeous! I also cleaned the crap out of the arcade glass and the monitor, and *wow* holy crap what a difference it made getting rid of years of grim, really popped now. |
