Space Duel Mame Cab
« on: January 22, 2019, 12:03:17 pm »
So I've always been lurking on here. Never posted. I finished this a couple years back, figured maybe I should share it. Maybe give some others ideas.

So I got an empty space duel cabinet many years ago. Slowly but surely this is what it turned into.

I wanted the control panel overlay to look as lose to the original as possible but..being a mame cabinet, I needed alot more buttons and joysticks. Filled in some holes with liquid metal and drilled new ones. Got a vector image of the CPO from someone on another forum, I forget where and who, but I worked off that to come up with mine.

Later I added a gamepad for those 3 player beat em ups. Just open the coin door and pull it out.

I like that you put a sticker on that SNES controller. Might be doing something similar!

+1 on the sticker on that SNES controller. Adding USB controllers is a good way to add 4 player games to a two player cab.

I like this.  You preserved some of the original cab's soul - I like to see a conversion done with respect like this.

Well done!

I like the thought that went into angling P2's buttons just ever so slightly. :applaud:
