Can't display 15khz on CRT after drivers installation
« on: January 19, 2019, 11:23:09 am »
Hello guys,

First of all thanks to all the community involved in these projects.

I'm trying to plug a computer to a CRT.

Below my setup:

Intel i7-2600
Ati HD 5850 Powercolor
Windows 7

CRT B&O MX7000
UMSA (vga to scart)

I followed this tutorial in order to send 15khz picture to my CRT.

After the installation that's what I'm getting:

Before EDID emulation:

My DVI port is Digital_5, my setup just before emulating the 15khz EDID:

When I enable EDID emulation my LCD goes out of screen.

That's what I get by using Teamviewer:

Now the hardware I'm using:

When I plug the UMSA my screen turns to black:

Anyone knows what I'm doing wrong? Is it an hardware of software problem? My UMSA is new (I bought it from arcadeforge last week).

Thanks in advance.

The DVI-I can output both analog and digital signals, though not both at the same time. By picking the "Digital_5" option you're telling it to output a 15 kHz digital signal. Instead, pick then analog VGA output from the list. I know it can be misleading but from VMMaker I have no easy way to tell if the reported VGA corresponds to an actual D-sub connector or it's the analog capability of the DVI-I.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.
