Coin Door Wiring Sparks
« on: December 03, 2018, 09:50:05 am »
Hello all,
New to pinball restoration and I have a issue. I have a Bally EM Bow and Arrow Machine. The coin door I recently rewired. However on the second coin micro switch that I reconnected now sparks and burns when I hit the credit button on the game and smokes everywhere. The micro switch that I attached thr wire too had a bit of a broken connector but I am still able to solder it and get a connection. I believe it is starting to make the other two wires connected to the three wire micro switch burn and smoke as well. Does anyone know why this would be? I am not sure if its becasue the micro switch has the connector missing or if it is something else.
Thanks

If the connection is broken or cracked it will increase resistance, pull more current and get hot.
