Mr. Peabody:
Rah-STAHN. Haggar: Double-consonant equals short vowel sound. When I was a kid, I read Haggar the Horrible as HAEH-garr, though I recall my mom telling me it was HAEHger, like collar. Since the names are not english, pronunciation is open.....but some sounds are pretty goofy to anyone with a sense of vocal tone and romance language. Patman is showing his domestic background here. |
