Pole Position Conversion
« on: November 14, 2018, 11:26:37 am »
I'm working on building a multi racer in an old Pole Position cabinet. I'm having some issues with my MAME setup. I can get some games to work and others I can not. I just want to run the 4-5 games I can get away with since I only have steering, Lo & Hi shifting and a gas pedal. I was thinking TURBO, Pole Position (working), PP2, Offroad (working) ChaseHQ. Going to add a button for exit and fire on the cp above the wheel.

I have my Uhid coming today and I already have vga on a cga monitor working.

I just can't get these pesky games all working... any tips? I've picked the games from several rom packs and tried several versions of MAME.

Here are some vidoes of the boot and progress testing my monitor before I pull it from that cab.

Someone mentioned I might have an issue since the wheel is 360 and some games need 270??

Thanks for any help

BadMouth has a very good thread on the 360 vs. 270 wheel issue here: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,105961.0.html

I'd browse through that and see if it addresses what you are having.  Beyond that you didn't really describe what issues you're having with the games that don't work.  Are they crashing, do none of the controls work, etc.?
