Mr. Peabody:
Is this too close to Politics and Religion? Howard_Casto:
I don't think wanting people to not die in a fire is particularly political, but that's just me. If we don't find a way to fight climate change the death toll is only going to rise as the years roll on. That's from the mouth of a grandson of a coal miner from southern WV. I feel my friends and families plight but wrecking the planet for a paycheck doesn't make a lot of sense imho. The transition to more sustainable energy is going to be hard, but we can do it. We're Americans damn it, and we can do anything. |
ark_ader:
Its not politics but a natural order. Think of it as Mother nature doing her thing, with a little help from human beings. |
Mr. Peabody:
@Howard_Casto: oil and coal really screwed things up. Hemp offered fuel and textiles - and food - directly. And there are other things. Some company is making meat or meat analogues, as well as hard products and building materials out of mushrooms. I don't know why bamboo hasn't been commercialized..... @ark_ader: transition of energy is natural. What's done with it is up for grabs. |
