  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
The gamelist is out.

There are a lot of console games in there, as expected.

With a lot of Atari Arcade games, and console ones.

They got rights to Fix-it-Felix?  They are either blowing smoke or this is running a windows PC.

There are a ton of games that have both Arcade and Console versions. Isn’t this the company that lied before about releasing arcade versions of games? How much you want to make a bet that the ‘arcade’ titles with matching console versions start dropping off the ‘really final we mean it this time’ list?

They got rights to Fix-it-Felix?  They are either blowing smoke or this is running a windows PC.

In addition to the "real" fix it felix there is a homebrew game that runs on genesis hardware... it is typically the version used for the plug and play versions of the game such as the tiny arcade machine recently released.

charging you to stream your own games and selling that as a FEATURE?

just when I didn't think ATG could sink any lower...

again this 'as a service' stuff needs torching, I wouldn't usually cheer at the sight of cabinets up in flames, but if somebody wanted to build a stack of these and burn them I'd bring marshmallows.

(yes, I'm aware it's an optional feature - for now, but this is how these things creep into being the norm. just. say. no.)

Get this ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- out of the Main Forum and throw it in Retail Vendors.

It's clearly another one of negative-1's shill attempts.  Seriously, what are these companies paying you to promote their crap?  It's got to be a lot to endure this kind of hate and resentment.

except is has nothing to do with arcade 1up.

this is a full sized arcade game from ATgames, which is a completely different company.

nothing to do with the other one. there's no point in making another forum for it.

maybe you just don't know how to read the posts properly.

He didn’t say make another forum, he said put it in Retail Vendors, which exists. Since it’s a commercial offering, that makes sense.

The flyer says that you can stream your own games locally from your own pc for free. The optional $1/hr feature is using their cloud servers to stream your games. What's wrong with charging for a cloud service?

apparently you don't read my posts either.
i'm one of the harsher critics of the products, but of course
you wouldn't read my reviews, just guessing at what people think.

whats impressive is that you are mindreader or psychic,
and know how to a judge a product that you've never laid on hand on, or tried it.

judgemental much?

Saint has addressed this in his "moved" post:
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,161036.0.html

I'll bold the important bits for you:

Quote from: Saint
Negative1 - keep these kinds of posts off the main forum please. Stick them in Retail Vendors or Arcade1UP.

Thanks - saint

This topic has been moved to -- Arcade 1Up --.

(Yes I know it's not specifically Arcade1Up)

It was his call to put it in the Arcade 1Up, whereas I suggested it go into the Retail Vendor's forum.

Either way, the message is clear, coming from the top.  Stop throwing these posts in Main, as there are dedicated forums for you to shill as hard as you want in.

Considering this topic started in 2018.

There's nothing wrong with posting on topic replies to it.

Didn't feel like starting another thread.

If you're not interested, learn to ignore things that don't impact you.

It impacts all of us. We are all stewards of this forum, and of this community. There are rules and guidelines for a reason. Stick around and contribute to discussions rather than just being a walking advertisement. You’ll learn that there’s a good community here that helps and supports one another, if you’re not a --missioncontrol--. We don’t take kindly to usurpers trying to come in and dictate things. Go with the flow, know your audience, and stop trying to be above the forum. Otherwise you’ll continue to take flack from people who have contributed to this site and community for a while.

I'll report some relevant news.... Atgames is getting sued by walgreens because they didn't give them a refund for the 1.6 million bucks worth of "blast!" garbage that they couldn't sell.  Also they are getting sued by Namco because they bought the royalty rights to Ms. Pac-man from GCC and tried to pull a Midway and release their own Ms. Pac-man machines without Namco's permission.  Lastly, a class action lawsuit is also on the way for falsely advertising the pac-man blast with arcade screenshots even though it's the nes versions.

This is why the "Blast!" line is on sale for 5 bucks in most places... it's just not selling.  Also thanks to the Ms. Pac-man lawsuit, Namco is unlikely to release any Ms. Pac-man games for quite some time to try and starve Atgames of any royalties.  So yeah they do wrong and we get screwed.

What a bunch of morons. Let's hear from all the people that think all of these shovelware cabinets/arcade posing devices are still good for the hobby/games industry.  WHERE'S YOUR GOD NOW??  :laugh2:

If you buy the Limited special version, you get the Namco Blast with it.

Turns out they are the arcade ROMS, and rewind works on it.

Dig Dug
Galaga
Galaxian
Mappy
Pac-Man
Tower of Druaga
Sky Kid
Xevious

Another review.

ArcadeNet™: For $19.99 a month you can access an ever-growing library of additional games (download directly or stream). ArcadeNet™ subscribers also get 5 free hours* of BYOG™ (bring your own game) streaming per month as a bonus to your subscription. Sam's Club members will get 3 months for free.

BYOG™: Bring your own game. You can play games you bought on another game store (e.g., Steam, Origin, Epic, etc.) by streaming them to your cabinet from our cloud servers. BYOG™ is $1/hour with a minimum 10 hours purchase.

So are the games they come pre-installed yours to keep or do you have to sign up for the $20 monthly service in order to play the system ?
